Lake Dodson

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

Lake Dodson utilizes his experience in journalism, foreign affairs, and nuclear energy advocacy in the United States and abroad to facilitate The Earthineering Company’s growth.

He is currently based in Washington, DC, following his graduation from the University of Mississippi in Political Science & Global Security and an education abroad in Nuclear Reactor Studies at Kyung-Hee University in Suwon, South Korea.

Before joining the Earthineering team, Lake pursued a career in journalism as an author and editor for The National Interest. He reviewed and published thousands of articles covering breaking news on the Russian invasion of Ukraine and North-South Korean relations, earning him membership in The National Press Club. Further, he maintained connections with a wide range of political experts, former ambassadors, and government advisors, learning from their work and receiving training in back-end website design.

While in that role, Lake represented the International Youth Nuclear Congress at the United Nations’ SB60 Climate Conference, providing policymakers with information on the safety and efficiency of nuclear energy. This experience enabled him to attend the COP29 Climate Summit in Baku, Azerbaijan, and observe the convergence of business, deep tech, and international politics in action.

Further experiences which supplement Lake’s background in communication and business roles/accolades include:

  • Engaging Members of Congress on behalf of The United Nations Association of the United States

  • Completing the ICAN Academy on Global Security of The Hiroshima Prefectural Government
